Volunteer needed |
|
By now you may have read Karen’s circular about her “stepping down” as Administrator for the IODDC? This has left an opening for an organised individual to fill Karen’s shoes, at least for the immediate future and possibly only temporarily. |
|
So, if any one out there in Doggy Land feels up for it (and if you have a few hours spare per month) please send Martin or Mark an email at your earliest convenience and you will be contacted for a “chat” about the role. |
|
Both Mark and myself wish to say a BIG thank you to Karen for the brilliant effort and contributions she has made to the Dinner Club and hope to see her “relaxing” at future dinners. |

Changes to Billing |
|
Okay... Due to a couple of recent “mishaps” in billing, we have no option but to change the way dinners are paid for at the end of an evening. To avoid any further problems a checklist will be introduced to avoid any shortfall. |

Basically, this will be trialed at the July dinner at Elephant Royale. A list of names will be held by an appointed person (probably me) and those attending will be “ticked off” when arriving and when it is time to pay, will again be “ticked off” as PAID. |
|

We did not wish to have to do this but unfortunately is has become a necessity, to be fair to all concerned. Hopefully this process will go smoothly and that you, as members are not “Ticked Off” in the process! |

Venues - Your input. |
|
It has been suggested on numerous occasions that we accept ideas for venues but to date this has not happened. |
|
So please tell us... Where do you wish to dine? |
|
This can be either on or off the Island, so all suggestions to Mark or Martin at: |

Our First Anniversary Loometh |
|
We have not booked a venue for 17th October, so we are looking for a “special” venue - any suggestions are welcome. |

Additional Events |
|
If you have any ideas for “additional activities” such as an afternoon sailing, or a Pub Crawl or even something further afield, please contact us. |
